bedroom spaces
The places where we sleep are sacred to us. We sleep, rest, love and hang out in them. They should be comfortable as well as exemplifying our own tastes. Ignore the influencers, ignore the decorators, no one else is going to experience YOUR space unless you open the door. Be yourself in YOUR space.
For the space where we spend nearly one third of our lives. Let's create a space where restfulness, relaxation, sensuality blend with your favorite elements to create the bedroom of your dreams.
golden tiles
A color scheme that blends the palettes of cool and neutral into a spectrum for a pleasing and restful environment. Full carpeting or floor tiles to match or coordinate with the walls. Try a coordinating stripe or other pattern in the bedding and drapes. A splash of muted color in a cooler tone in the drapes to pick up the mint in the area rugs. This was from a list of favorite colors given and using existing furniture.
colorful floral
A wonderful palette to share, not too much in either direction (masc vs. fem). The darker walls create an intimacy that draws you in while the lighter rug keeps the room from feeling too small.
mint fantasy
Window valances are not only stylish, they are functional. If you love them, have them. They help to prolong drapery life in keeping dust and dirt to a minimum. Make use of all available space adding multiple seating areas as well as a vanity corner in addition to benches at the foot of the bed and one in the dressing room. Give an en suite feel by carving a small dressing room out of a large bedroom space.
classic sleigh
Dark woods, dark flooring from the neutral spectrum warmed with brighter linens and walls. The contrast is dramatic and relaxing. Unisex sleigh bed and matching furniture suggest that this type of styling works for any gender as well as any age. A chest that can double as a bench at the foot of the bed give space for extra blankets, clothing as well as seating. A small corner reading area gives you a place to relax without actually lying in bed.
rustic plaid
Country without being too rustic. Masculine without being too much so. The burnt orange plaid sends a soothing downplay to the bright oak furniture. Mountain home, vacation space or ski chalet feel.
simple country
Small spaces can be elegant as well as cozy. Earth tones emit a country air and the light tones keep the smaller space feeling larger than it is. Cubbies and drawers in the closet make these semi-"walk-ins" more functional.
